Jawline Rejuvenation in Dallas, TX, with Dr. Yash
Define, Lift, and Reveal Your Perfect Contour
A well-defined jawline is a crucial element in an attractive, youthful, and healthy appearance. While we tend to focus our attention on the center of the face — the eyes, nose, and mouth — a soft and saggy jawline can make you look older and flabbier than you’d like. On the other hand, a sharp, defined jawline can give you a younger, toned look. Dr. Yash Avashia offers surgical and nonsurgical jawline rejuvenation tailored to your needs, with beautiful, natural-looking results.
Dr. Yash has specialized training and extensive experience in surgical and nonsurgical cosmetic treatments. He has a profound appreciation for the delicate aspects of facial anatomy and applies his extensive medical knowledge to produce outstanding results.

What Is Jawline Rejuvenation?
Jawline rejuvenation is a cosmetic treatment that defines and sharpens the contours of the jawline. Depending on the extent of skin laxity and accumulated fat under the jaws, chin, and neck, the treatment plan may include a combination of nonsurgical, minimally invasive procedures or surgical intervention to tighten the skin and eliminate sagging jowls.
Why Might I Consider Jawline Rejuvenation?
- Soft, poorly defined jawline contours
- Drooping jowls
- Sagging skin in the lower part of your face
- Pockets of fat under your chin and jawline
- A weak-looking jaw or chin
- “Notching” along the jawline (indents just below the outside corners of the mouth)
- A square, heavy jawline
- Marionette lines on the sides of the mouth
Nonsurgical Jawline Rejuvenation
For patients who are not suitable candidates for surgery, Dr. Yash has refined his approach to offer longer-lasting results compared to temporary treatments. His nonsurgical jawline enhancement typically includes:
Dermal fillers
Dermal fillers consist of hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the body. Injecting dermal fillers into the middle layers of the skin adds volume, helps the skin retain moisture, and promotes new collagen production. Dr. Yash can use dermal fillers to add volume to strengthen and define the jawline. Filler injections can fill in notching to smooth and straighten the jawline. Dermal filler treatment results last a few months to more than a year before needing maintenance.
Surgical Jawline Rejuvenation
For patients with moderate to advanced skin laxity, where the skin lacks the elasticity to tighten after fat removal, Dr. Yash offers surgical jawline rejuvenation procedures. This typically involves:
Liposuction
Liposuction is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure to remove specific areas of unwanted fat. Dr. Yash inserts a thin tube, or cannula, through small incisions and moves it back and forth to loosen the fat, which he then removes by suction. Precisely performed liposuction can slim the contours of the neck, chin, and jowls as part of a jawline rejuvenation.
Neck lift
A neck lift (in a surgical jawline rejuvenation) seeks to remove deep neck volume (fat) with resuspending the neck muscle to create a tight neck angle and jawline definition. Incisions for this surgery are hidden around the earlobe and behind the ear, along with a short scar under the chin. Dr. Yash obtains beautiful, natural-looking, long-lasting results by lifting and tightening the underlying muscles and connective tissue as part of a neck lift.

What Can I Expect In My Jawline Rejuvenation Treatment?
Before
Dr. Yash will consult with you to understand your goals for the treatment. He will examine your face, paying special attention to the quality and resilience of the skin in the lower part of your face and neck. Based on your conversation and his assessment, he will recommend the combination of treatments that he considers best for your needs. Non-invasive Botox and dermal fillers and minimally invasive liposuction don’t necessitate anesthesia or sedation. A surgical neck lift requires general anesthesia.
During
Each of the treatments in jawline rejuvenation involves a unique procedure:
Liposuction
If liposuction is part of your procedure, Dr. Yash will use a local anesthetic, so you don’t feel the small incisions made for inserting the cannula. Having removed the excess fat from your neck or under your jaw and chin, Dr. Yash closes the incisions. You can then go home. You’ll need to arrange for someone to be with you at home for the first 24 hours.
Neck lift
In a surgical neck lift, Dr. Yash makes discrete incisions to allow access to the neck to suspend the neck muscle, remove deep volume, and remove excess skin, smoothing and sharpening the jawline and neck.
After
After jawline rejuvenation, you are free to go home. You will need someone to drive you if you’ve had general anesthesia or sedation. Dr. Yash will provide you with post-treatment care instructions and will be available if you have any immediate questions or issues.
After Jawline Rejuvenation Treatment
You will need some downtime for recovery if liposuction is part of your nonsurgical facelift treatment and you can expect some bruising and swelling in the first few days. The other treatments included in a non-surgical facelift may leave you with some short-term discomfort but usually do not require downtime for recovery.
Dr. Yash sees nonsurgical jawline rejuvenation patients for follow-up one week, two weeks, and a month after treatment. He will provide you with a special face garment to wear for two weeks, when you are at home, and for another two weeks at night.
After surgical jawline rejuvenation, you’ll need a couple of days to rest before you start gradually resuming your normal activities. Most patients can get back to vigorous exercise and activities about three weeks after surgery.
Results of jawline rejuvenation are visible as soon as the immediate post-treatment swelling goes down and continue to improve over the following weeks as all residual swelling disappears.
